Miranda Cosgrove on Joining The Wrong Paris
Brandon Schreur: Miranda, I am such a fan of your past work. I grew up watching iCarly and can’t say enough about what that show meant to me. Now you’re starring in this Netflix rom-com, The Wrong Paris. What made you want to sign up for this project, and how does your character, Dawn, differ from others you’ve played?
Miranda Cosgrove: I was really excited to be part of a rom-com because it’s my favorite genre. I love rom-coms and had always wanted to do one. Dawn is tougher and meaner than most characters I’ve played, which was fun. She’s flawed but has a good heart.
Filming the Meet-Cute Scene
Brandon Schreur: Pierson, you’re great in this movie, especially in that first scene at the bar. Can you share your experience filming that scene?
Pierson Fodé: It was a blast! We had rehearsals with producer Michael Damian and director Janeen Damian. Janeen, being a dancer, wanted the dance sequence done a certain way. It’s a fun meet-cute that opens the movie for both characters.

Balancing Romance and Comedy
Brandon Schreur: This is a true rom-com with strong romance and comedy. What do you find easier to slip into as actors?
Miranda Cosgrove: I love the ridiculous physical comedy, like the scene where he washes the horse. It’s fun to be goofy, but the falling-in-love moments are crucial in a rom-com.
Pierson Fodé: In rom-coms, we can be so out there and ridiculous. Those moments are what make it enjoyable.
Thanks to Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fodé for taking the time to discuss The Wrong Paris.
