EXCLUSIVE: Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys for Life, Bad Boys: Ride or Die) is set to co-lead the untitled real estate drama pilot ordered by the Onyx Collective for Hulu, alongside Edgar Ramírez. The regular cast also includes Leslie Grace (In The Heights), Mariana di Girolamo (Ema), Liz Caribel Sierra (Dope Thief), and Armando Rivera.

Plot Overview
Created by Roberto Patino and Cassius Corrigan, the drama centers on a fierce competition to dominate the Manhattan skyline. Two rival real estate developers, Ramirez and Scipio, risk everything—wealth, family, and their very souls—as their ambition spirals into obsession and their partnership devolves into conflict.
Character Insights
Scipio portrays Abe Alonso, a charismatic and ambitious up-and-coming real estate developer from New York City’s outer boroughs, determined to achieve the American Dream for his family.
Grace plays Val Alonso-Rivera, a passionate architect striving to create beautiful, affordable housing in an industry focused on rapid production and cost-cutting. She is Abe’s devoted wife and partner, fiercely protective of her family.
Di Girolamo takes on the role of Gloria Saladín, a savvy businesswoman married to Moises Saladín (Ramírez), the heir to a multibillion-dollar real estate empire. Gloria aims to seize control of the business alongside her husband, positioning them as global power players.
Sierra plays Adela Rivera, Val’s witty and rebellious younger sister, who is eager to break rules, making her a valuable asset as Abe’s promising development associate.
Rivera portrays Diego Saladín, the unpredictable bachelor and black sheep of the Saladín family, who harbors ambitions beyond real estate and possesses a colorful anarcho-capitalist streak.

Production Team
Patino serves as the showrunner, with Corrigan, Ramírez, and pilot director Alonso Ruizpalacios as executive producers, alongside Oly Obst and Luke Maxwell of 3 Arts, Ramirez, Liz Tigelaar, and Stacey Silverman of Best Day Ever, as well as real estate developer Donahue Peebles III, who will act as a technical consultant.
Cast Highlights
Scipio will next star alongside Madelaine Petsch in Amazon MGM’s romantic comedy, Maintenance Required. He has recently appeared in Bad Boys: Ride or Die with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and has credits in The Expendables 4, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Pieces of Her, Without Remorse, and The Outpost. He will soon feature in an untitled horror film directed by André Øvredal.
Grace, a singer and actress, received her first of four Latin Grammy nominations for her self-titled debut album in 2013. She was recognized as one of Variety’s 10 Actors To Watch and featured in Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen Talents in 2021 for her role in In the Heights. She has also starred in The Thicket and How to Win Friends and Disappear People.
Di Girolamo is best known for her lead role in Ema and will co-star in Wild Horse Nine alongside John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell.
Sierra currently stars in Apple TV+’s limited series Dope Thief and made her feature debut in God’s Time, which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.
Rivera, an emerging Mexican American actor, recently completed work on the indie feature Any Day Now and starred in the noir short film Lucha Noir.
