Nicolas “Nic” Vansteenbergh and Olandria Carthen, affectionately known as Nicolandria, have shared their thoughts in a new joint interview!
The blossoming couple, who paired up during the seventh season of Love Island USA, participated in their first interview together since leaving the villa earlier this week.
In a conversation with Access Hollywood‘s Lauren Herbert, they discussed their mutual support, favorite qualities about each other, and their aspirations for the future.
Support and Care
Olandria expressed, “I can truly say that when I get in my head a lot, Nic always checks on me to make sure I’m okay. He’ll literally take my phone out of my hand and tell me to put it down, saying, ‘Get out of those comments, get out of your head.’”
She added, “He’s been such a huge support as I adjust to this new reality. I’m just having a tough time.”
Nic mentioned that their parents’ support has also been beneficial.
Admiring Each Other
What do they love about each other? Olandria shared, “I love how caring he is. He’s always making sure I’m okay. He allows me to embrace my femininity and be soft, something I didn’t get to do in the past.”
“In his presence, I can truly feel like a woman. I don’t have to think or do anything. Even opening a water bottle, he does that for me. I love that he takes good care of me,” she continued.
Nic reciprocated, “I think the most recent thing has been seeing her softness and sensitive side. Being open with each other and breaking down those walls is beautiful.”

Timing and Relationship Development
Nicolandria discussed how their relationship evolved in the villa. Olandria remarked, “As much as I wish we had coupled up earlier, our story wouldn’t have been as beautiful and relatable. I love that we did it the way we did.”
Future Plans
What’s next for them? Nic shared, “I want to do the little things like going to the movies and Disneyland. Traveling is huge for me, and I know we share many interests. I plan to make her go skydiving with me.”
Olandria added, “We’ll continue to move at our own pace. Nic has been great at providing content for the Nicolandria fans, and they’re enjoying it.”
Regarding the reunion, Nic hopes to address some issues with fellow islanders Jeremiah, Belle-A, and Cierra. “There’s a lot in the air for me,” he said.
Olandria mentioned, “I’m doing my homework. I know my name comes up a lot on podcasts, so I’m making my list.”
