The America’s Got Talent live shows continued on September 2, featuring 11 quarterfinalists vying for viewer votes. One act would secure a spot in the finals via the judges’ Golden Buzzer, while three others would advance to the semifinals, as announced by host Terry Crews on September 3. The judges for the live shows are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Mel B.
Quarterfinalists Competing This Week
This week’s lineup included two Golden Buzzer recipients from the auditions: former child singer Jessica Sanchez (selected by Sofia) and the juggling danger duo Messoudi Brothers (selected by Mel).
They were joined by nine other talented competitors: crossbow shooter Anna Saranina, singer Austin Brown, vocal group Benn Family Band, freestyle rapper Chris Turner, band Girish & the Chronicles, aerial duo Jacqueline & Wagner, dancer Maceo Harrison, A.I. magician Mastermind, and rapper Micah Palace.

Jacqueline & Wagner
Act: Aerial duo
Hometown: Italy & Brazil
Performance: Their aerial routine begins and ends high in the air, with Wagner spinning Jacqueline while she holds onto his hair and wears roller blades. At one point, Jacqueline nearly falls, but manages to hold on.
Judges’ Comments: Mel: “No safety net? Brilliant!” Simon: “Sensational, a massive step up!” Howie: “You’ve stepped it up!” Sofia: “Amazing, the hair-pulling was intense!”

Austin Brown
Act: Country singer
Hometown: Tifton, Georgia
Performance: After a rocky audition process, Austin performs an original song about getting “tipsy” from whiskey, backed by a full band.
Judges’ Comments: Mel: “A vibe, but confusing lyrics.” Sofia: “Better than the audition, amazing stage presence!” Howie: “One of the most talented singers, consider pop!” Simon: “Focus on your voice, it was too over the top.”
Maceo Harrison
Act: Dancer
Hometown: Savannah, Georgia
Performance: Maceo starts outside, dancing through the green room and onto the stage, swinging from a chandelier.
Judges’ Comments: Howie: “Excited to see your next move!” Simon: “Brilliant chandelier moment!” Sofia: “You make solo dancing fun!” Mel: “You’re unpredictable, and that’s exciting!”
