Jake Friedken (Law) is the charismatic owner of Black Rabbit, a restaurant and VIP lounge on the verge of becoming New York’s hottest destination. Black Rabbit is a gripping exploration of how the unbreakable bond between brothers can shatter their world and everything around them.

Cast Insights

Bateman expressed his attraction to the series, noting its universal relatability despite its gritty setting. He stated, “At its core, it’s about two brothers who love each other but have different paths—one is a screwup, while the other is more composed, or better at concealing his issues. Everyone can relate to that dynamic with a sibling or close friend. It’s thrilling yet dangerous, often leading to trouble but always exciting.”

Law mentioned that the series draws inspiration from various New York restaurants from the 1990s, emphasizing the behind-the-scenes hustle that occurs in such establishments. He found the contrast between the public facade and the private struggles of restaurant owners to be a rich source for storytelling.

The series features a talented ensemble cast, including Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Chris Coy, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young, and Robin De Jesus, alongside Amir Malaklou, Don Harvey, Forrest Weber, Francis Benhamou, Gus Birney, John Ales, and Steve Witting.
