‘Revenge’ Star Henry Czerny Joins Crave’s ‘Bon Cop, Bad Cop’

Henry Czerny, known for his roles in Revenge and Mission Impossible, has been cast in a lead role for Crave’s bilingual drama series Bon Cop, Bad Cop. Currently in production in Quebec, Canada, the series has also welcomed Joshua Odjick, Christine Beaulieu, Nathaniel Arcand, Robin Joël Cool, and Antoine Vézina to its cast. This unique series, filmed in both English and French, is set to premiere on the streaming platform Crave in 2026. Czerny and Patrick Huard will portray officers who embark on an investigation that spans across Canada following the mysterious disappearance of an Indigenous community’s band chief. They will be joined by a diverse group of unconventional cops in their quest. The show is a collaboration between Jessie Films and PaNik Fictions, in partnership with Bell, with Huard serving as the head screenwriter and one of the directors.

‘The Crown’ Producer Michael Casey Joins Orchid Pictures

Michael Casey, producer of The Crown, along with The Day of the Jackal commissioner Gabriel Silver, are joining Suzanne Mackie’s Orchid Pictures as Managing Director and Executive Producer, respectively. Casey reunites with Mackie after their successful collaboration on the acclaimed Netflix series The Crown. Silver, who comes from Tiger Aspect, previously commissioned the hit series The Day of the Jackal. Casey will oversee the daily operations of the company alongside Mackie after a 16-year career at Left Bank Pictures, where he served as a board member. Silver will focus on project development, with past credits including Chernobyl, Gangs of London, and I Hate Suzie. Orchid Pictures, launched in 2020, is currently in pre-production on a new project from The Crown creator Peter Morgan. Mackie expressed enthusiasm about assembling a top-tier editorial and production team to propel the company forward.

‘Hot Ones’ Heading To Germany

The globally popular YouTube series Hot Ones is set to launch in Germany. This series, where celebrities engage in spicy interviews while consuming hot wings, will debut on YouTube later today. Each episode will be hosted by acclaimed comedian EMMVEE, with Uber Eats as a primary sponsor. Produced by Tresor Productions, a German unscripted production company owned by Keshet International, the American version has featured stars like Cardi B, Florence Pugh, and Paul Rudd, earning international acclaim. The format’s creator was recently sold to investors for $82.5 million. Axel Kühn, Managing Director at Tresor Productions, stated: “Hot Ones has always been a unique format for us, transforming celebrity interviews into something extraordinary. We are excited to produce the German version exclusively for YouTube, in collaboration with Endgame Entertainment and inSocial Media.”

MIPJunior Sets New Structure

MIPJunior will transition to the main Palais des Festivals building for MIPCOM Cannes in October, introducing a new format. The Gare Maritime, located opposite, will serve as a space for matchmaking and deal-making. Lucy Smith, Director of MIPCOM Cannes and MIPJunior, described it as a “makeover with a mission” aimed at helping companies innovate and adapt. Additionally, YouTuber Kevin Tran’s manga adaptation for Canal+, Ki&Hi in the Panda Kingdom, produced by Mediawan Kids & Family’s Mathod Animation, will have its world premiere at the Palais on Saturday, October 11. MIPJunior is scheduled for October 11-12, right before MIPCOM Cannes begins on Monday.
