EXCLUSIVE: Fox Entertainment has selected four talented writers for its 2025 Fox Entertainment Writers Incubator, an initiative dedicated to nurturing and supporting writers across various genres, including comedy, drama, and animation.

Meet the 2025 FWI Fellows

Chosen from over 1,000 submissions, the 2025 FWI Fellows are Melissa Kong, Sagar Vasishtha, Julia Bianco, and Nage Gibson-Thompson.

About the Incubator

Now in its fourth year, the Fox Entertainment Writers Incubator is a comprehensive three-month workshop designed to refine writers’ material, enhance their skills, and explore the media and entertainment industry. Fellows receive personalized mentorship from Fox executives and experienced writers.

Upon successful completion of the program, the Fellows will have opportunities to work on series produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and the Emmy-winning Bento Box Entertainment. Previous participants have contributed to Fox series such as Going Dutch, Animal Control, and Rescue: HI-Surf.

Fellow Profiles

Melissa Kong (Animation)

Melissa’s comedic style is influenced by her childhood experiences watching The Golden Girls and WWF wrestling. Her stories often highlight the underdog while subverting expectations. She has worked as a showrunner’s assistant on Netflix’s The Vince Staples Show and has received accolades for her writing.

Sagar Vasishtha (Comedy)

Based in Brooklyn, Sagar is a writer and director with a background in Film & Religious Studies. He has worked on notable projects such as Umbrella Academy and Animal Control. His comedy short Weed Couch has been recognized at various film festivals.

Julia Bianco (Drama)

Julia is a writer whose upcoming fantasy novel Broken Coven will be published in 2026. She has experience as a showrunner’s assistant on HBO Max’s Head of the Class and has contributed to various media outlets.

Nage Gibson-Thompson (Drama)

Nage is a Jamaican American writer whose work often explores cultural duality. He has a background in advertising and is a 2024 Sundance Virtual Episodic Lab Fellow. Nage is a graduate of Emerson College and resides in LA.
