The Television Academy has revealed the first winners of the 77th Emmy Awards in juried categories, showcasing excellence in Animation, Costume, Emerging Media Programming, and Motion Design.

Leading Winners

Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots topped the list with four wins, including two for the episode “400 Boys” in Character Animation and Character Design, and two for “How Zeke Got Religion” in Production Design and Storyboard. Following closely, Netflix’s Arcane secured two awards: one for the episode “The Dirt Under Your Nails” in Background Design and another for “The Message Hidden Within the Pattern” for Color.

Notable Achievements

Other notable winners include Prime Video’s Octopus!, Shibuya.Film’s White Rabbit, and Netflix’s Beyoncé Bowl, which won in the Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming category, marking Beyoncé’s first Emmy award.

Award Presentation Details

The juried awards will be presented at the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards, scheduled for September 6 and 7 at the Peacock Theater in L.A. Live. An edited presentation will air on September 13 at 8 PM PDT on FXX.

According to the Academy, entries in juried categories are evaluated by a panel of professionals from relevant peer groups, with the potential for one or more entries to be awarded an Emmy. This process involves open discussions and thorough reviews of each entry’s merits.

Upcoming Emmy Awards Broadcast

The 77th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 14, 2025, from 8-11 PM EDT/5-8 PM PDT on CBS and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
