The Edinburgh Film Festival is set to showcase an impressive lineup of industry leaders and filmmakers this August, promising a week filled with engaging discussions and networking opportunities.
Edinburgh Film Festival Industry Lineup Announced
The full Edinburgh Film Festival industry lineup was announced this afternoon, featuring high-profile guests including filmmakers Rose Garnett and Eva Victor, alongside producer Adele Romanski (Moonlight).
Event Schedule
Edinburgh’s industry events will take place from 15 August to 20 August at the Festival Hub located at Tollcross Central Hall.
In Conversation Sessions
The festival’s In Conversation session kicks off on August 15 with Rose Garnett. The following day, Eva Victor and Adele Romanski will lead a masterclass, followed by an EIFF Networking Brunch in collaboration with Screen Fringe.
Keynote and Panels
The Sixteen Films team, including Ken Loach, Paul Laverty, and Rebecca O’Brien, will present on 20 August. Additionally, filmmaker Kevin Macdonald and producer Andrew Macdonald will deliver the EIFF Keynote on 17 August.
Paul Ridd’s Remarks
Commenting on the announcement, Paul Ridd, CEO and Festival Director, expressed his excitement about welcoming numerous significant Scottish, UK, and international guests to the industry program in August. He emphasized the festival’s commitment to connecting local talent with the global film community.

Full Programme Highlights
On Friday 15 August, the day begins with the inaugural EIFF Networking Brunch, followed by a conversation with Rose Garnett. The afternoon will feature Ben Wheatley and Andy Starke in an EIFF In Conversation session.
Later, an industry panel on Access in Filmmaking will be held, followed by EIFF Networking Drinks with Jeremy Thomas and filmmaker Mark Cousins.

On Saturday 16 August, the day opens with an EIFF In Conversation featuring Eva Victor and Adele Romanski, followed by another EIFF Networking Brunch. The afternoon includes a discussion on The Outrun and concludes with the EIFF Ceilidh.
On Sunday 17 August, the EIFF Networking Brunch will be hosted at Summerhall Library Gallery, followed by a keynote by Kevin Macdonald and Andrew Macdonald.
On Monday 18 August, the morning EIFF Networking Brunch will be hosted in association with Screen Hub Scotland, followed by a discussion with Nia DaCosta on Crafting Fear through Games and Film.
On Tuesday 19 August, the EIFF Networking Brunch will feature international co-productions, followed by a discussion with Andrea Arnold.
On Wednesday 20 August, the festival concludes with an EIFF In Conversation featuring Ken Loach, Paul Laverty, and Rebecca O’Brien.
