EXCLUSIVE: Cosm, the innovative entertainment company that combines classic planetarium experiences with cutting-edge immersive technology, is set to launch Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory as its second “shared reality” presentation, following a multi-picture deal with Warner Bros.

Screening Details

Screenings of the iconic 1971 film starring Gene Hackman will commence on November 21. This follows Cosm’s successful June release of The Matrix in celebration of its 25th anniversary, which has recently been extended through August.

What is Shared Reality?

Unlike traditional VR and AR, shared reality does not require headsets. Instead, it utilizes Cosm’s proprietary technology, featuring an 87-foot diameter 12k+ LED dome and full-dome filmmaking capabilities, to present films like Willy Wonka in their classic format while the surrounding environment transforms with dynamic visuals and engaging effects.
