Comcast has officially announced the board of directors for its new venture, Versant Media Group, highlighting key figures from various industries.

Comcast has announced the members of the inaugural board of directors for Versant Media Group, featuring prominent figures from the media, technology, and finance sectors. Leading the new company is Mark Lazarus from NBCUniversal, alongside Rebecca Campbell, the former chair of International Content and Operations at Disney.
Leadership and Board Composition
As previously disclosed, David Novak, a long-serving board member of Comcast and former CEO of Yum! Brands, will take on the role of chairman.
Versant’s Media Portfolio
The publicly traded Versant will encompass major networks such as USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Golf Channel, along with digital assets like Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, and SportsEngine. The spinoff is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.

Lazarus recently served as chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, overseeing the company’s television and streaming platforms. His extensive experience includes leadership roles across various NBCUniversal divisions.

Campbell brings over two decades of experience from Disney, where she held multiple leadership positions, including president of Disneyland Resort and ABC Owned Television Stations. She currently serves as the interim CEO and board member of Meow Wolf, an innovative arts and entertainment company.
Other notable board members include:
- Creighton Condon, Of Counsel at A&O Shearman, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions.
- Michael Conway, former CEO of Starbucks North America, who has held significant roles in major corporations.
- David Eun, a founding advisor to Kanza AI and former president of Samsung Electronics.
- Gerald L. Hassell, former chairman and CEO of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation.
- Scott Mahoney, chairman and CEO of Peter Millar, with a background in brand development.
- Maritza Montiel, former Deputy CEO of Deloitte & Touche LLP, who has significant experience in leadership roles.
- Len Potter, founder and chief investment officer of Wildcat Capital Management.
